Naira Marley has been arraigned before a Federal High court sitting in Lagos for alleged fraud. The singer was brought into the court premises in Ikoyi, Lagos by the men of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Monday, May 20, 2019. He appeared in the court wearing a white T shirt and a pair of jeans. His lawyer was however absent at the court. Naira Marley Pleads ‘Not Guilty’, To Be Remanded In EFCC Custody Until May 30 . After the charges were read to him in the presence of Justice Nicholas Oweibo, he pleaded ‘ not guilty’. . Azeez Fashola, better known as Naira Marley has pleared not guilty to the 11 count charge preferred against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. . After the charges were read to him in the presence of Justice Nicholas Oweibo, he pleaded ‘ not guilty’. Justice Oweibo however slated the 30th of May for the hearing of bail application. Until then Naira Marley will be remanded in prison custody. See video below:-

Kano state Governor Abdullahi Ganduje has presented N3 million cash gift on Wednesday, to Zainab Aliyu and Ibrahim Abubakar, who was recently released from Saudi Arabia over drug charges. The governor announced his donation to Zainab Aliyu and Ibrahim Abubakar when Federal Government delegation officially presented them to the governor at the Government House, Kano, DailyTrust reported. Governor Abdullahi Ganduje commended President Muhammadu Buhari, for the timely intervention to save the lives of the two victims. Ekiti State governor, Kayode Fayemi, has nullified all employments made by his predecessor Ayodele Fayose after July 2018 governorship election in the State. “All appointments made after the governorship election of July 2018, an exercise found to have violated due process, are hereby canceled and declared null and void,” the State’s Commissioner for Information Muyiwa Olumilua said on Wednesday during a press conference in Ado-Ekiti. “All 272 officers employed by the former Governor Fayose led administration who are still on manual payroll shall be considered for absorption into the civil service, but on a case-by-case basis and absorption will be conditional subject to availability of vacancies,” He added. Femi Fani-Kayode, former Minister of Aviation has reacted to the recent claims by the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration and the military that certain persons were planning to overthrow the government. Minister of Information, Lai Mohamed, had said that Atiku and his party, were doing everything to overheat the polity. Mohammed further described their alleged actions as an act of treason. However, in response to the claims, Atiku Abubakar in a statement by his media aide, Mazi Paul Ibe, described the allegations as all lies. Fani-Kayode reacting to the claims on his Twitter page said only soldiers can overthrow the government, not politicians. The former minister wrote: “Atiku and PDP is plotting to overthrow the Government in a military coup”- Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information. “The Bible says, “the wicked run even when no-one is pursuing them. “As far as I am aware, politicians don’t plan and execute coups: soldiers do.”

A lady called a shoe maker to help fix her slippers. She allowed him stay in their compound, while she went back inside to continue with what she was doing. When he was fixing her slippers, he added something under before stitching it back. Luckily for the Lady, her landlord was at the balcony watching the Shoemaker without his knowledge. When he was through, he called her to tell her that he has finished. She came out, he told her to try it on her leg to make sure it was OK. Her landlord shouted from upstairs 'no oh, don't put your leg in that slippers I'm coming. He came downstairs; forced the shoemaker to put his leg in the slippers, the shoemaker refused. On the 10th of May, EFCC paraded Nigerian Singers, Naira Marley, Zlatan Ibile, Rahman Jago and two others for their alleged involvement in internet scam . The photo uploaded by EFCC caused a lot of funny reactions on Twitter. A hashtag,  #guccybranchcaptionchallenge , which is currently trending on Twitter sees  Nigerians changing the dressing of one of the guys paraded by EFCC. The guy was referred to as Guccy Branch.
